Workshop Experience in WSO2


         Last Wednesday we visited WSO2 for a workshop which is done about Technical Writing. Actually before that session, neither I had known anything about technical writing nor even available such type of field.
         So,the night before that day the hard thing for me was the dress code.I opened my suitcase and find out a proper dress nearly one hour.When I entry to WSO2 I wished I will have a job like this company.In ground floor there are many kind of indoor games such as Carrom to free their mind. It's a nice place.

            Our workshop was held in 7th floor named as Area 51. When we entry they gave us a note book and a pen that branded as WSO2 logo. The session was started sharply 9.00 am. First session is introduction of technical writing. They explained basic things such as what is the technical writing and how it is done.Next session was some grammar activities. There were some sentences with some errors such as meaningless, grammatically incorrect like that things.So we had to correct those sentences.
              After that session, next session was a group activity.We
were grouped as 6 members to each group. They gave a task what we had to do was A man wanted to use ATM machine to withdraw some money and it's the first time that he was going to use a ATM machine.So he need a guide to use it. So, we had to write that guide.I was very appreciated to tell our team was won that task and we won WSO2 tshirts. 
               Then there was a break and they gave us refreshments in a nice manner and all of us enjoyed it well. Then next session was about technical writer as a career and they explained the heirachy of technical writer. After that there was a fun activity.Again we were grouped and we have to choose an object we wrote 4 sentences(hints) about that object and others have to find what is it. Deshanjali' s group was won it and they won chocolates.

                 Finally there was a conclusion and Sithara thanked for WSO2 team.The session is very important and very interesting.
